Make noise. Demand justice. Show up.
We need every single community member, ally, and American to make noise and demand Salah’s immediate release. Our collective voices can break through the silence and force accountability. We know what it means to be othered and targeted by state violence, and we will not surrender our rights or values. Take the following actions to stand up for Salah’s release:
1. Contact Congress
a. Call and email your Members of Congress (House and Senate) and urge them to demand that the Trump administration and DHS release Salah Sarsour.
b. Reach out to electeds who have spoken out in support of Salah, thank them and ask them to continue using their voice and power to get him released.
2. Share Salah’s Story
Don’t let Salah’s story be buried, and don’t let the narrative be shaped by those trying to justify his detention. What’s being pushed right now is meant to distract, distort, and dehumanize him. We’ve seen this playbook several times before, and it only works if we stay quiet.
Take to social media. Share his story with the hashtag #FreeSalahSarsour. Push back on misinformation. Make sure the truth is louder than their propaganda, every single day until he’s released.
You can also submit a quote, testimony or story about Salah here.
3. Contribute to the Fund
We know this fight for Salah is part of a larger trend: leveraging attacks on immigrants and on Palestinians, particularly, to build new precedents that whittle away at democratic norms and legal protections for everyone. That is why this fight is a fight for all of us.
Contribute to the Salah’s Justice Fund to help advocate for his immediate release.
4. Join the Virtual Mobilization
Join us for a live virtual mobilization to stand with Salah and demand his immediate release, featuring Imam Omar Suleiman, Dr. Osama Abu Irshaid, Br. Nihad Awad, Sh. Rami Bleibel, and more.
